The campsites at Rock Creek Lake sit on a low hill overlooking the lake with great views and a few trees. This 28 unit campground is a perfect location for limitless mountain recreation opportunities including fishing, camping, hiking and horseback riding at the nearby pack station.

No. Rock Creek Lake Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
Directions from Mammoth Lakes: Drive south on US 395 for approximately 13 miles. Take the Tom 's Place turnoff and proceed west up the canyon for about ten miles. Directions from Bishop: Travel north on US 395 for about 30 miles, turn left at the Tom 's Place turnoff then proceed west up the canyon for about ten miles.
Dogs must always be on leash and under owner control. Maximum stay 14 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36"). Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.
