The fine print, kept plain.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Fullstackcaveman Software LLC (“TerrainKit,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the TerrainKit apps and services. By downloading, accessing or using TerrainKit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

TerrainKit provides an offline map of campsites, water, dump stations, propane and overnight parking, with search, routing and community data. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial travel. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its data.

Some features require an account, created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use TerrainKit.

• TerrainKit Pro is offered as an auto-renewing annual subscription (currently $29.99/year) with a 7-day free trial for eligible new users.
• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your TerrainKit account does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. Prices and plans may change; we’ll give notice of changes as required.

You retain ownership of content you post (check-ins, photos, reviews, added locations). By posting, you grant TerrainKit a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content within the app so the map works for other users. You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, unlawful, infringing or abusive content.
• Post private information about others, or trespass to gather content.
• Interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

TerrainKit relies on public sources and community contributions. Sites, roads, closures, clearances and conditions change constantly and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. TerrainKit is a planning aid, not a guarantee. You are solely responsible for verifying legality, access, safety and conditions before you travel, and for your own decisions in the outdoors. Travel and remote camping carry inherent risks, which you assume.

The app, its design, software, logos and compiled data (excluding your own content) are owned by TerrainKit or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding.

TerrainKit uses third-party services (including Apple, Google and our hosting and authentication providers). Your use of those services is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE MAP OR ROUTING IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR SAFE. YOU USE TERRAINKIT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TERRAINKIT AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TerrainKit and its operators from claims, damages and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using TerrainKit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Great Falls, Montana for disputes not subject to binding arbitration, where permitted.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Well update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
