Your data, on your terms.

TerrainKit (“TerrainKit,” “we,” “us”) provides an offline map of campsites, water, dump stations, propane and legal overnight parking for iOS and Android, operated by Fullstackcaveman Software LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

We collect only what we need to run the map and your account:

• Account details - when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
• Location data - with your permission, your device location so the map can show what’s near you and power radius search, routing and offline downloads.
• Content you create - check-ins, photos, reviews, added campsites, saved lists and trip plans.
• Purchase status - whether you have an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple and Google; we never receive your card details.
• Device & diagnostic data - app version, device model, crash logs and basic usage events used to keep the app stable.

• Show nearby spots, search, routing and offline regions.
• Sync your account, saved lists and trips across your devices.
• Display community content and keep site data fresh and accurate.
• Provide support and respond to your requests.
• Detect abuse, fix bugs and improve the app.

Location is used while you use the app to position the map and find nearby spots. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings - the app still works, but nearby search will be limited. Downloaded regions are stored on your device so the map keeps working with no signal; no connection is required to view them.

Content you post - check-ins, photos, reviews and campsites you add - is visible to other TerrainKit users so the map stays useful for everyone. Do not post anything you would not want to be public. If you delete your account, your reviews and photos are removed, but campsites and locations you added remain on the map, no longer linked to you.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who host and operate the app on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and authentication), under agreements that limit their use of it.
• With Apple and Google, who process subscriptions and app distribution under their own privacy policies.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of TerrainKit and its users.
• As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and personal data yourself at any time at terrainkit.app/delete-account - no app required. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; cancel that separately in the App Store or Google Play.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app or via the deletion page, or by emailing [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

TerrainKit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of material breaches as required by law.

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
