Located six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, CA, at 5,800 ft. elevation this campground is seven miles from the popular Whitney Portal Recreation Area. The Whitney Portal National Recreation Trail begins at west end of the campground. Other popular activities near the campground include hiking, exploring the Alabama Hills, and fishing. Firewood for sale at the campground. Bear food storage lockers available. Sites up to 40 feet long. Some sites may be available first come, first serve.

From Highway 395, turn west at the stoplight at the center of Lone Pine, and follow Whitney Portal Road for 6 miles. Follow signs to turn left then right to enter the campground. Located on Whitney Portal Road, six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, California.
Active bear area, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").
