The Bear Creek Hunt Camp is a three-sided shelter available for free public use. There is a picnic table and fire ring located onsite. There is a fourteen day stay limit within a 30 day period at this shelter.

Yes. Bear Creek Hunter Shelter is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
From Robbinsville, proceed on highway US129N approximately 9 miles. Take a left across the Cheoah River bridge, to FSR 62. Proceed approximately 5 miles on FSR62 to the shelter.
