North Waldo is the most popular of the Waldo Lake campgrounds. There are 58 sites with fire rings and tables. The drier environment supports fewer mosquitoes, making the site more enjoyable in early summer. The campground offers a uniquely peaceful setting on the water and along remote shorelines. Campsites are situated within a fire recovery area, offering greater views of Waldo Lake and wildflowers than the more shaded Shado Bay. Recreation in the area is abundant with the lake an ideal location for water activities like sailing, canoeing, and swimming.

How do I get to North Waldo Campground?
From Oakridge Oregon: At the intersection of Crestview Street and Oregon State Highway 58 (at the only traffic light along State Highway 58 in Oakridge), travel east on Highway 58 for 23.3 miles. Turn left onto the Waldo Lake Road/Forest Road 5897. Follow 5897 for approximately 12.8 miles and turn right at the T intersection onto Forest Road 5895. Travel for approximately 0.3 miles and the destination will be on your left.
