How do I get to Armijo Springs?

From Quemado go south on New Mexico Highway 32 approximately 18 miles to Forest Road 854. Go east approximately 4 miles. Forest Road 854 is not well marked on Highway 32 but a large brown sign for the campground is visible to the east of the intersection.

What are the rules at Armijo Springs?

A 14-day stay limit applies. There is no trash service - pack it in, pack it out. OHV/ATV use is prohibited within the campground. Hunting and shooting are prohibited in the campground. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free. Hunters - please field dress your animal. Do not dump carcasses or gut piles in teh campground or in any trash receptacles. Animal remains will attract bears, wolves, mountain lions, and coyotes.
