No. Quemado Lake - El Caso Cg charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
Just west of Quemado, New Mexico, go south on New Mexico Highway 32 for approximately 14 miles to Quemado Lake / New Mexico Highway 103 sign. At the sign go east on Highway 103 for 4 miles to Forest Road 13. Continue past the lake. The campground is on the right.
A 14-day stay limit applies. There is no trash service - pack it in, pack it out. OHV/ATV use is prohibited in the campgorund. Hunting and target shooting are prhobitied in the campground. Hunters - please field dress your animal - do not dump carcass or gut piles in the campgrounds or any area trash receptacles. Animal remains attract bears, wolves, mountain lions, and coyotes. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free. First come, first served.
