Dispersed campsites located in the Santeetlah Lake watershed. Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table and lantern post. There is a fourteen day stay limit within a 30 day period at each campsite.

Yes. Santeetlah Lake Dispersed Camping is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
Santeetlah Lake dispersed campsites can be accessed from any boat launch located on Santeetlah Lake. Please inquire with the Cheoah Ranger District about a map of the dispersed campsites located on the lake. Some of the campsites can also be accessed from Long Hungry Road, Pine Ridge Road, and Joyce Kilmer Road.
