Paragon Dispersed Camping Area is a primitive camping area with ten designated campsites, some with lantern posts and fire rings. The area is located off of KY 519 on a narrow portion of Cave Run Lake which provides calm paddling conditions for non-motorized boating. The site design also allows for easy vehicle access all the way to the water's edge. Trash collection is available seasonally.

Yes. Paragon Dispersed Camping Area is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
From I-64, take exit 137 (KY 32) toward Morehead. Turn right on US 60. In less than one mile, turn left onto KY 519. Continue to follow KY 519 south for several miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 947. The campground is on the right. From Morehead, take KY 519 S for 9.3 miles. Turn left onto Paragon-Craney Road/Tunnel Road (Forest Service Road 947). Destination will be on the right.
