Historic Meadows Guard Station is located 29 miles from the north end of the Greys River Road. The capacity is 6 people on 3 bunk beds and there are propane lights, a propane cook-top and a propane refrigerator. During the summer there is a toilet and shower available indoors, but during the winter the toilet facilities are outdoors. Wood is provided for winter heat in the wood-stove. From the Town of Alpine, Wyoming, head east on Greys River Road /Forest Service Road 10138 (FS-10138) and follow it for approximately 8 miles. Bear right at the junction staying on FS-10138 and follow it southeast for an additional 20.2 miles then turn right onto FS-10140. Follow FS-10140 to the junction and turn left. Meadow Creek Guard Station is located shortly down this road. Approximate travel details from the Town of Alpine: 29 miles, 48 minutes.
