About this place

Accessible from the town of Collbran, CO, at an elevation of 10,100 feet. Hiking, ATV trails, fishing and jeep roads are nearby. One of the last campgrounds to open, being on the north side of Crag Crest ridge and shaded. There are 36 campsites, almost all are shaded. Maximum spur length is 42 ft.

How do I get to Cottonwood Lake Campground?

From Collbran, CO, at Access Grand Mesa sign, take 58.5 Road south 1.9 miles to T intersection. Turn left, staying on 58.5 Road (which becomes 59 Road), and go 5.8 miles to Forest Road 121. Travel south for about seven miles past Bonham-Wells Reservoir and then turn right onto Forest Road 257 and travel about another 5 miles to the campground. Directions to this campground can be tricky. Please call for more information.
