Some campsites are on the shore while others overlook the lake. Still others are tucked back and away from the lake. Shoreline sites are open and on an unmarked spur road, while remaining sites are shaded and more secluded. The campground provides convenient access to the many lakes on the Grand Mesa.

No. Ward Lake Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From Cedaredge, CO, take State Highway 65 north 15.6 miles to Forest Road 121 and camping symbol sign. Turn right onto Forest Road 121 and go 0.5 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground.
This is bear country: campers must properly store food and other attractants.
