Cordova Pass Picnic Area and Campground offer picnicking, tent camping only, hiking, and fishing. The area is usually open sometime in May until early October, depending on snow conditions. Access to Levy-Krier (#1392), West Peak (#1390) and Salazar (#1392a) trails.All dates are weather dependent. Dates of operation below are dates visitors may expect full service. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available between May 7, 2021 and October 11, 2021.

No. Cordova Pass Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From La Veta, travel south on State Highway 12 17 miles to the top of Cucharas Pass. Turn left (east) onto County Rd.46 and travel 6 miles to the campground and pinic area at the summit of Cordova Pass. May also be accessed from the east approach to Cordova Pass on County Rd. 46.
