How do I get to Bear Lake Campground?
To get there from La Veta, drive south on SH 12 for 15 miles to FSR 422. Turn right onto FSR422 and follow it for 5 miles until you reach the Bear Lake Campground, one mile past Blue Lake Campground.
What are the rules at Bear Lake Campground?
The following restrictions apply to this campground : Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. Dogs must be leashed at all times. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE. Drinking water is provided by a well with a hand pump.
