Shirttail Creek Campground is located on the north west shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir, this campground is set in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the reservoir. It is near the North Fork of the American River with access to trails, OHV riding and swimming.

No. Shirttail Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
How do I get to Shirttail Campground?
From I-80: Take the Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill. Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road. Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles and take a right on the first road afeeter the Sugar Pine Recreation Area sign. Travel 1 1/2 miles to the campground.
What are the rules at Shirttail Campground?
OHV use is not permitted in the Sugar Pine Complex, only the staging area.
