No. Giant Gap Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.

How do I get to Giant Gap Campground?

From I-80:Take the Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill. Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road. Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles and take a right on the first road afeeter the Sugar Pine Recreation Area sign. Travel 1 1/2 miles to the campground.

What are the rules at Giant Gap Campground?

OHV use is not permitted in Sugar Pine Complex, only in staging area
