Hutchins Group Campground provides camping for large groups that desire to be near Bucks Lake or Lower Bucks Lake. It is an easy drive to Sandy Point Boat Launch and Day Use area on Bucks Lake. There is a short trail from the campground to Lower Bucks Lake. There is easy access to trails within the Bucks Lake Wilderness. Hutchins Group has 3 campsites that accommodate both tent and trailer camping and each site holds 25 people. Bear resistant food lockers, fire rings, and picnic tables are boxes are available at each campsite for food storage. There are vault toilets. The water system needs repairs. Water is available at nearby Sandy Point or Haskins Campground. This campground is still recovering from the Dixie Fire. This campground requires a reservation.

No. Hutchins Group Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
From Quincy, go west on County Road 414, to the intersection with Bucklin Road. Turn right on Bucklin Road and travel approximately 4 miles to Hutchins Group Campground. From Oroville, go east on County Road 414, to the intersection with Bucklin Road. Turn left on Bucklin Road and travel approximately 4 miles to Hutchins Group Campground.
