Yes. Clear Creek Campground is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
From Weaverville, take Highway 3 north for 34.2 miles. Turn right on County Road 106, crossing over Carrville Bridge. Stay on county road for 13 miles to the French Gulch/Clear Creek Campground junction. Turn left, continue for 2 miles to the campground.
