Alto Pit Campground is designed specifically for OHV users. Ten campsites feature picnic tables and pedestal grills, and there is one double site. The campground also contains staging ramps There are ATV and dirt bike riders (off-road vehicles of 50" or less in width) enjoy 400 acres with approximately 20 miles of motorized trails, 2 cross-country areas, and a designated children's area. The main area is a former gravel pit at 6,200 foot elevation just below Granite Mountain. There is also a smaller gravel pit. Rock and granite sand surface the area. A host is available to provide information and assist visitors.

No. Alto Pit OHV Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From Prescott, drive northwest on Iron Springs Rd, 5 miles past the intersection with Gale Gardner. Alto Pit is on the right side of the road.
