North Fork Chewelah Dispersed Site is a large meadow along North fork of Chewelah creek that provides a location for dispersed camping and staging for motorized and equestrian recreation. This site serves as a Sno-Park during the winter accessing 67 miles of groomed trails.

Yes. North Fork Chewelah Dispersed Site is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
From the Three Rivers Ranger District Office take Meyers St to US-395 S. Follow US-395 S to Sand Canyon Road in 33 miles. Take a left onto Sand Canyon Road. Stay on Sand Canyon Road for 7.2 miles. Park at the signed area on the right.
