About this place

This campground is a primitive horse camp with room for 6 to 15 horse trailers, depending on the size. It offers easy access to the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail with its connections to the Iron Mountain Trail. From the Iron Mountain Trail, riders can also access the New River Trail.

How do I get to Old Virginia Group Horse Camp?

From I-81: Take exit 45 at Marion, Virginia. Take State Route 16 south for approximately 17 miles to State Route 603 at Troutdale. Turn right onto State Route 603 (Laurel Valley Road) and follow it for approximately three miles to the campground which will be on your right. A site identification sign is on the gravel driveway.
