Granite Flat Campground is located in aspen, douglas fir, spruce and pine trees and is close to Lone Peak Wilderness. Tibble Fork and Silver Flat Reservoirs are close and offer good fishing. The nearest telephone is five miles away. Popular activities include hiking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, visiting Timpanogos Cave and viewing wildlife. Amenities with facility includes a baseball field, firewood, grills, and picnic tables. This campground is popular for hiking, Horseshoe pitching, and wildlife viewing.

From Salt Lake City, Utah, take interstate 15 to the Alpine-Highland exit (exit 284) and go east on Highway 92 for 8 miles to mouth of American Fork Canyon. Go 5 miles up canyon to junction, take the North Fork (Forest Service Road 85) to Tibbles Fork Reservoir, stay left on paved road for 1 mile to campground.
This large campground offers three group sites and several single and double-family sites, most of which are accessible. Picnic tables and campfire rings are provided, as are vault toilets. Horseshoe pits and a grassy baseball field are located on-site. Roads and parking spurs are paved.
