Timponeeke Campground is located in a mountainous area next to the Mt. Timpanogos Wilderness. Aspen, spruces and fir trees are the dominant tree species. Hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing are popular activities in this area. Site amenities include firewood, grills and picnic tables. There is no water available at the campground

No. Timponeeke Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From Salt Lake City, Utah, take Highway 15 to the Alpine-Highland exit (exit 284) and go east on Highway 92 for 5 miles to the junction of Highway 92 and the North Fork of American Fork Canyon. Keep going straight east, up the South Fork, and continue on the Alpine Scenic Loop for 3.5 miles to the campground.
