About this place

Sheltered from traffic noise on Highway 138, Horseshoe Bend is situated on a bench adjacent to the Wild and Scenic North Umpqua River. An open stand of old-growth Douglas Fir and sugar pine creates privacy among the 23 campsites and shelters. The North Umpqua Trail #1414.04 Calf Segment is in close proximity to this campground, which also features a boat launch. Horseshoe Bend is popular with anglers, as well as whitewater adventures running some of the Wild and Scenic North Umpqua River 's most exhilarating descents.
