Buckhead Mountain Camping Area offers a rustic camping experience under the stars. Right at the border of the Tiller Ranger District and Diamond Lake District. Enjoy a day in the shade of some old trees or go on an adventure as nearby roads take you to other recreation sites across the forest. This camping area is located just off Forest Service Road 702.

Yes. Buckhead Mountain Camping Area is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
From Canyonville, OR, (exit 98), take a left on to NW 1st Street. At the stop sign turn right onto Main St. In two blocks turn left on to SE 3rd St/OR-227, Tiller Trail Hwy. Follow OR-227 approximately 23 miles until you reach the town of Tiller. From Tiller turn left (before crossing the bridge), on to Douglas County Road #46, which becomes South Umpqua Road, Forest Service (FS) Road #28. Continue on the 28 Rd approximately 24 miles to the 2814 Rd. Turn left on the 2814 and travel approximately 8 miles to junction of the 2715 Rd. The campground will be on right hand side of the road.
