How do I get to Willow Creek?
From Reserve, follow New Mexico Highway 435 south to Forest Road 141 for about 34 miles. Turn south onto Forest Road 28 and follow it to its end at Willow Creek Campground. Alternately, Follow New Mexico Highway 159 from US Highway 180 north of Alma. This route has extremely difficult driving conditions from milepost 12, just past the town of Mogollon to mile marker 17. High clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended. An alternate route is south from Reserve, via FR 141 and south on FR 28. This is an unpaved, improved two-track road.
What are the rules at Willow Creek?
Within the campground, saddle, pack, and draft animals, ATV/OHV use, and hunting are prohibited; a 14-day stay limit applies. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free. First-come, first served with a 14-day stay limit
