How do I get to Dipping Vat?

From Reserve, follow New Mexico Highway 435 south to Forest Road 141 for about 34 miles. Turn south onto Forest Road 28 for approximately 11 miles to Forest Road 142. Turn left onto Forest Road 142, following sign for Snow Lake and Dipping Vat Campground.

What are the rules at Dipping Vat?

A 14-day stay limit applies. The following are prohibited within the campground: OHV/ATV use, Hunting or target shooting, and saddle/pack/draft animals. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free. First come, first served
