USFS · Lookout/Cabin · Free
Built in 1929, the 12' x 14' shake and frame cabin was abandoned in 1948 but survived and was restored in 1983 as a Kootenai National Forest rental. A high elevation site and located a few miles south of the Canadian border, the lookout was difficult to reach and often fogged in.
