The Kincaid Lake Recreation Complex on the Evangeline Unit in the Calcasieu Ranger District, has two modern campgrounds, a group picnic area, and a primitive camping area. Kincaid Lake, a 2,600-acre reservoir, provides the setting for this attractive development. Kincaid Recreation Area provides a wide range of outdoor opportunities including camping, swimming, picnicking, boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling. Trash disposal available. Paved roads.

From Alexandria, drive west on Louisiana Highway 28 for 12 miles to Louisiana Highway 121 at Gardner. Turn left (south) and go 0.25 mile to Forest Road 279 (Valentine Road). Turn left (east) on Hwy 279 and go 3.5 miles to Forest Road 205, where you will turn left (north) and proceed to the recreation area entrance and fee station.
