Located alongside the South Fork Salmon River, these 10 campsites include 4 walk-in, tent only sites. The walk-in sites are along the South Fork of the Salmon River, and 1 is a double unit, which can accommodate up to 16 people. Campsites include tables, fire rings, and grills. Nearby activities include fishing and rafting in the South Fork of the Salmon River. The campground is eight miles south of the confluence of the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River on the South Fork of the Salmon River Road.

No. Buckhorn Bar Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
From McCall, go 30 miles northeast on Lick Creek Road (Forest Road 48), then 7.5 miles south on the South Fork Road (Forest Road 674). Or you may access the campground via Warm Lake Road just north of Cascade and then north along the South Fork of the Salmon River road (Forest Roads 474/674).
