LOCATION: The Trout Creek Recreation Area is located approximately 14 miles northwest of Yampa, along Trout Creek and Forest Road 925 (Rio Blanco CR 90). DESCRIPTION: Trout Creek offers 4 dispersed sites off a dirt road. Yes. Trout Creek Campground is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
Directions from Yampa: 14 miles total: Go N/NW on County Road 17 approximately 5 miles to County Road 132. Turn left and go about 4 miles to FDR 925 (also known as RCR 132A and Rio Blanco CR 90). Go N/NW on FDR 925 approximately 5 miles to Trout Creek.
