This campground has 13 campsites for TENT CAMPING ONLY at an elevation of 6,200'. It is open year-round. This campground has picnic table and fire ring at each campsite. Portable toilets are availabe during peak season only.All dates are weather dependent. Dates of operation below are dates visitors may expect full service. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

No. Ouzel Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.

How do I get to Ouzel Campground?

From Denver: Take U.S. Highway 285 to Pine Junction. Take south on Jefferson County Road 126 and drive for approximately 25 miles to Douglas County 67 at Deckers. Campground is located 7 miles north of Deckers on the left hand side. From Sedalia: Take U.S. Highway 67 from Sedalia to Sprucewood. Stay on 67 South (straight) until you reach pavement at the South Platte River. Go 1 mile nouth to Ouzel Campground, which is on the left hand side.

What are the rules at Ouzel Campground?

REMEMBER! You must be in a designated campground to stay overnight. Fires are permitted ONLY in the campgrounds, no fires are allowed in the picnic areas. NO SHOOTING ALLOWED! Much of the property along the river is privately owned. Please respect the posted signs. Additional, the following restrictions apply to this campground : Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles. Dogs must be leashed at all times. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. No water. Portable toilets available during full service camping.
