About this place

La Vista Campground is a developed campground within the Lake Isabel Recreation Area. At Lake Isabel, activities include non-motorized boating and fishing. St. Charles Creek is close to the campground is open for fishing. Access to motorized trail include Cisneros, St. Charles, and Snowslide. There is a pleasant hiking trail on the lake shore. Campsites #1 through #10 are tent-only sites.All dates are weather dependent. Dates of operation below are dates visitors may expect full service. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available between May 7, 2021 and October 11, 2021.

How do I get to La Vista Campground?

From Pueblo, go 25 miles south on Interstate 25 to Exit 74. Go west 16 miles on State Hwy 165. Turn into the south entrance at Lake Isabel Recreation Area. Travel about 1 mile and look for the La Vista campground signs.

What are the rules at La Vista Campground?

The following restrictions apply to this campground : Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. Dogs must be leashed at all times. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE. Other Important Information: Be Bear Aware. It is prohibited to Possess or leave unattended any food, refuse or other bear attractants unless it is; A. stored in a bear resistant method or, B. being eaten, prepared for eating or being transported. 36 CFR 261.58(cc). Potable Water; Limited water available - no water hookups.
