Designated camping in the Kebler Pass/Lake Irwin area, close to Crested Butte. 31 sites are available and camping is allowed only in designated sites. Each site has a fire ring and is marked with a unit marker.

Yes. Kebler Pass Camping Area is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
Take County Road 12 west out of Crested Butte. Designated campsites can be found throughout the Kebler pass and Lake Irwin area.
This is bear country: campers must properly store food and other attractants.
