Cimarron Forks Camping Area is located at the confluence of the Middle and East Fork Rivers near Silver Jack Reservoir. This area provides dispersed camping opportunities. The area is also within close proximity to multiple hiking and OHV trails. Two vault toilets area available in this area.

Yes. Cimarron Forks Camping Area is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
From Ridgway Colorado take US-550 N to Co Rd 10. Turn right onto Co Rd 10 and follow it for 4 miles. Turn right onto Co Rd 8 for 11 miles. Co Rd 8 turns into Forest Rd 858. Stay on Forest Rd 858 for 6.7 miles and you will be in the Cimarron Forks Camping Area.
This is bear country: campers must properly store food and other attractants.
