How do I get to Aspen Leaf Cabin?

From Grand Junction, CO, proceed south on Hwy 50 to Hwy 141. Turn right on Hwy 141 and travel 14.4 miles to the Divide Road. The road itself is not marked, but there is an approach sign: NATIONAL FOREST ACCESS, DIVIDE ROAD, UNCOMPAHGRE PLATEAU. Follow the Divide Road for 19.6 miles and turn left on Forest Road 406, at the sign that says COLD SPRINGS WORK CENTER. Go 0.3 mile then turn right on Forest Road 406.1A. The work center is reached in 0.5 mile, at a gate with a combination lock. BEFORE LEAVING HOME, call the Grand Valley Ranger District (970-242-8211, Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm) for the combination.
