Frenchman Campground (5,800 feet) is on a pine covered hillside overlooking Frenchman Lake. The lake offers a wide variety of water activities. It sits at the interface between peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the high desert, where solitude and adventure await.

No. Big Cove Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From Reno NV. take Highway 395 North to Hallelujah Junction, Head West on Highway 70 to Chilcoot, head North on Highway 284 to Frenchman Lake. Cross the dam and proceed to the campground entrance on the left.
