This is a rustic style 12 ' x 12 ' Pan-Abode log cabin that was constructed in 1964. A trail from the cabin climbs through old-growth rainforest then down to saltwater. There is a trail junction that leads to the lake outlet and a trail spur that leads to an overlook that views one of the two waterfalls spilling out of Orchard Lake. FACILITIES: ? The cabin is located at the west end of Orchard Lake on the north end of Revillagigedo Island. It is accessible by floatplane or boat and is about 35 air miles from Ketchikan. If accessed by boat there is a 1 mile hike from the Shrimp Bay trailhead to the Plenty Cutthroat cabin. Refer To: USGS map Ketchikan D5, D4
