Hettinger Group Campground sits in a shady, isolated spot off U.S. Highway 16, the Cloud Peak Skyway. The campground offers one group site that can accommodate up to 150 people, and can be used for overnight camping or day-use picnicking. The site is equipped with picnic tables, grills and a campfire circle. Vault toilet, drinking water and trash collection are also provided. Reservations are required to use this site.

From Buffalo, WY go west for about 12 miles on Hwy 16, then 0.4 mile west on Forest System Road (FSR) 131 .
