Wood River Area, Southwest of Meeteetse, Wyoming. This is the second campground and can be found approximately 3 miles up river from the forest boundary. Old mining town of Kirwin is up river another 9 miles on a "high clearance/ 4X4 drive road". There is a 16-day stay limit, not accessible to persons with mobility impairments, no cell service, no garbage collection available, and food storage is required.

No. Brown Mountain Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
From Cody, WY take State Highway 120 south to Meeteetse, 32 miles. Take State Highway 290 west of Meeteetse 7 miles to County Road 4DT (Wood River Road). Follow the Wood River Road to Forest Road 200, which begins at the tiol forest boundary. The campground is 3 miles west of the boundary.
