Taneum Cabin is a historic structure located in the Wenatchee National Forest, Washington. Originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, it served as a ranger outpost. How do I get to Taneum Guard Station?

From I-90 east of Cle Elum, take exit 85. Follow Highway 970 North approximately 6.5 miles to Teanaway Road. Turn left and drive 13 miles to end of pavement. Turn right onto Forest Road 9737. Continue 2.2 miles, and then turn right to the Guard Station. From US Highway 2 (Leavenworth or Wenatchee area), follow Highway 97 South from its junction with Highway 2 for 38.5 miles to Teanaway Road. Turn right and drive 13 miles to the end of the pavement. Turn right onto Forest Road 9737. Continue 2.2 miles and turn right to the Guard Station. From early May through mid-November, the cabin is accessible by most passenger vehicles. Vehicles with extremely low clearance are not advised. Mid-December through early April, parking is 2.2 miles from the cabin. It is an easy ski or snowshoe trip over a groomed snowmobile route. The road and parking area are plowed by road crews.
