Overview Marcus Island Campground is tucked into the trees on the lake shore. The campground is heavily shaded and, in the summer, has shoreline on three sides. The main access road is single lane and winding, but campers flock to this shaded area in summer. A boat launch with parking is available before reaching the campground. Recreation The boat launch provides access to the lake when the water is high. Provides a nice shaded campground in a beautiful evergreen forest. Popular for campers, families and fisherman alike. Nearby Attractions The historic St. Paul's Mission, which is run by the National Park Service, is located about eleven south of the campground in the town of Kettle Falls. Charges & Cancellations All changes and cancellations need to be made through recreation.gov Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.

Marcus Island is located off of WA 25 on the northern end of Marcus. From Kettle Falls, drive north on US 395. Turn right onto WA 25 North. Follow WA 25 North for approximately 5.6 miles. Turn left at the Marcus Island Campground sign.

What are the rules at Marcus Island Campground?
Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights per campground within a 30-day period and not more than 60 total nights per calendar year anywhere within Lake Roosevelt. These limits apply to all camping activities within Lake Roosevelt. No more than two vehicles and ten people at each campsite. Check-In: 1:00 PM. Check-Out Time: Noon. Quiet Hours: From 10 pm to 6 am. This includes generators. Nighttime Closures: Campgrounds are closed to non-registered campers from 10 pm to 6am. Site Occupation: All sites MUST be occupied each night. You may not pay for these sites and leave your belongings in them without nightly occupancy. Property left unattended for 24 hours will be considered abandoned. Leave No Trace: The wheels of all vehicles and trailers must be within the designated parking space and not on the roadway or vegetation. Do not attach wires, ropes, or nails to trees or shrubs. Digging, leveling, or other alterations of the ground is not permitted.
