Perception Park Family Campground is located on the banks of the South Fork Ogden River at. Campers love the park for its shade and great river access. This scenic campground is situated among shady cottonwoods and willow. Moose and deer wander through the campground on occasion. It was built for the use of the physically challenged in the mid 1980 's. This qualifies Perception Park Family as a higher standard campground. Concrete platforms with benches have been placed in several locations along the river for the enjoyment of the handicapped. Although the campground was built for the use of the handicapped, it is not for their exclusive use. This paved campground has firewood available to purchase from the on-site Campground Host. Popular local recreation activities include fishing, swimming, and tubing (a life jacket is required for all tubers) on the river at this family-friendly and fully accessible site. Hiking is also popular on the paved nature trail that runs alongside the river. This campground also has a playground, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. Nearby Attractions Causey Reservoir is four miles east. This Reservoir offers great canoeing and fishing, as well as hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Beautiful Ogden Valley has numerous boating, fishing, hiking, horseback and off-road vehicle riding and scenic driving opportunities. Pineview Reservoir is a short westerly drive from the campground, which is popular for its boating, fishing, and swimming. Highway 39 continues on to Monte Cristo Summit with sweeping mountain views. Off-road vehicle and hiking trails are also abundant in the area.

South Fork Campground complex is located approximately 5 to 8miles east of Huntsville, Utah, on Highway 39. From I-15, take the 12th Street exit and continue through Ogden Canyon. Remain on Highway 39 toward Monte Cristo. The campgrounds are Magpie, Botts, South Fork, Perception Park Family, Upper and Lower Meadows, and Willows in order from west to east.
