About this place

Temporary Closed; due to hazardous trees. These sites are located in a rustic camp. Campsites are suitable for tents and trailers. This site is home to what was once; the world 's tallest ponderosa pine tree--it is now the second tallest! Facilities: 12 campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits, drinking water (hand pump), 3 vault toilets, trash service (during open season)

How do I get to Big Pine Campground?

From Grants Pass, OR, travel northwest 17.8 miles on Interstate 5 west and take the Merlin / Galice Road about 12 miles left onto Forest Road 25 and go 12 miles to the campground.
