About this place

Acorn Woman Peak Lookout was constructed in 1942. It is an L-4 style cabin, and is on the tiol Historic Site Registry. The lookout is constructed with glass windows on all sides, providing visitors with an unparalleled view of the steep drop-offs and breathtaking views of the rugged Siskiyou Mountains. This historic lookout is available for rent during the snow-free season. Guests must bring most of their own amenities.

How do I get to Acorn Woman Peak?

From Ruch, OR, turn left onto Upper Applegate Road and continue approximately 9.2 miles and turn left onto Beaver Creek Road (Forest Road 20 / Siskiyou Summit Road). Continue approximately 3.7 miles and make a right turn onto Hanley Gulch Road (Forest Road 2010). Turn left at junction with Forest Road 200 to continue on Forest Road 2010. Veer right at the next intersection with Forest Road 220 to continue on Forest Road 2010. Veer right at next intersection with Forest Road 250 to continue on Forest Road 2010. Veer left at next intersection with Forest Road 300 to continue on Forest Road 2010. Turn left at next intersection onto Forest Road 350, and continue to roads end, at Acorn Woman Peak Lookout / Cabin.
