Located in the Cimarron Recreation Area and surrounded by tall cottonwood trees, this scenic campground has 12 campsites. A great variety of birds provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The Cimarron Fishing Ponds are nearby.

No. Cimarron Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
From Elkhart, Kansas drive north on Highway 27 for 7 miles. Turn right (east) on FS 700 for 4 miles.
Campsites are non-reservable. Be aware of any fire restrictions. Do not park off constructed roads and parking areas. Potable water, water hydrants and restrooms are all handicap accessible. Maps of the Cimarron National Grassland are available at the U. S. Forest Service District Office for $10.00 each or send your request and funds to P. O. Box 300, 242 Highway 56 East, Elkhart, KS 67950. If sending a check, please make out the check to USDA Forest Service.
