The group campground is situated on the upper portion of the Holy Ghost Canyon,a beautiful steep canyonconsisting of mixed conifer forest. Uses: camping, fishing, hiking and group gatherings. Facilities:1 vaulted toilet, bear proof trash bins, covered ramada, picnic tables, large grill, and large fire pit. 40 person capacity.Special Instructions: Users are encouraged to recycle and pack out trash. Please visit the Leave No Trace for more information about frontcountry and backcountry outdoor ethics.Avoid driving off the pavement on the high bank (uphill side) of the road to protect endangered plant habitat.Take only photos of flowers,do not pick them. Leaving them provides for pollinators (butterflies and bees) and seeds for next year’s flowers.Please remove mud, seeds, vegetation and debris from everything (vehicles, stock, tents, blankets, clothes, etc.) before entering the Santa Fe National Forest, especially Holy Ghost Canyon, to prevent the spread of invasive plants and weeds.
