How do I get to Forks?

From the intersection of New Mexico Highways 15 and 35, follow Highway 35 north toward Gila Hot Springs. Forks Campground is located on the east side of Highway 35 near milepost 38.

What are the rules at Forks?

14-day stay limit applies. Dogs on leash. The following are prohibited in the campground: horses/stock animals, OHV/ATV use, target shooting and hunting. Day use only in the lower portion of the recreation site, along Middle Fork Gila River. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free. Overnight camping is allowed in the upper portion of the site; the lower portion of the site along the West Fork Gila River is Day Use Only.
