VAN LAKE (Camping Area) Newly improved in 2019! Six developed campsites along the southwest end of Van Lake. Two main campground loops with two vault toilets, three bear resistant storage containers, fire rings, picnic tables, and tent pads. Day use parking and a gravel boat launch for small watercraft are also available.

Yes. Van Lake is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
Turn east off of Hwy 83 (Mile marker 54.6) onto FS Road 9882. Travel a few miles to the end of the gravel road.
